Meet The Vendor: Tamara Schellenberg of Big Woof Biscuits

Here is a little bit about Big Woof Biscuits from Tamara:

We love our pets, and we want to give them the very best things we can. Unfortunately not all food manufacturers have the same goals. That is why I started making my own treats for dogs. I use only ingredients I would eat and feed to my family... Because my dogs ARE my FAMILY.

I can tell you that these are always a big hit at Craftacular. Come pick up some goodies for your pooch on Saturday, November 5 between 9 and 2.

Schools Vote Together

This Saturday, November 5 is important to me for two reasons. Not only is it the day of Southwest Elementary School's 4th Annual Craftacular Craft and Vendor Fair from 9 to 2 but it is also the last day for early voting here in Durham.
If you haven't voted yet we encourage you to join the Durham Association of Educators for the Schools Vote Together campaign. They will be meeting at 9am Downtown at the CCB Plaza and marching together while wearing red to show support for our schools. Hopefully a show of support will encourage the powers that be to pay attention to our public schools.
If you take part in the Schools Vote Together event and come to the craft fair you WILL be rewarded. Wear your 'Red For Ed' and you will receive TWO tickets to our (kinda) world famous bucket raffle. If you show your "Early Voting" sticker you will get THREE free raffle tickets. It pays to support our schools!
Keep in mind that, by attending BOTH events, you are getting a double whammy on your school supporting. ;)

Meet the Vendor: Barbara and Brian Nick of Nana's Attic

Hi All!!! It's that time again. Please give a warm hello to 2 of our returning vendors.
Hello.  My name is Barbara Evans Nick.  My grandchildren and great-grandchildren call me Nana, hence, Nanalove.  My husband, Brian Nick, and I own Nana’s Attic and make handcrafted things.  At the moment we only prepared with our jewelry, earrings, bracelets, watches, rings and necklaces.  I also make paper beads and some of our pieces are made using these beads.  Making paper beads is addicting but so much fun.

By the spring we hope to have expanded our inventory to include, handmade greeting cards, journals, mini books made of tile, soap and anything else that uses lots of color.

We hope you will visit us at Southwest’s Craftacular.  Its great fun and just might find some Christmas gifts for family and friends.

See you there.

Warm hugs,

Barbara & Brian Nick
Nana’s Attic

Necklace made with handmade paper beads!
Winter bracelet on memory wire.

Just a few of the handmade earrings you will find for sale.

If you are interested in being an artist or vendor at Craftacular you will find all the forms here: http://www.swepta.com/craft-fair.html

Meet the Vendor: Marcella Stewart ~ Mary Kay

Those of you who have been with us a while know that one of my favorite things is to introduce everyone to the vendors that will be sharing their wares with us at Craftacular on Saturday, November 5. Ladies and Gentleman I introduce you to Marcella Stewart!!!

I chose to honor teachers with my Mary Kay business this year back in May and actually conducted satin hands pampering sessions at several schools, including SWE.

My offering for the craft fare is already packed gift ideas for parents and teachers.  I will be featuring our satin hands pampering sets and opportunity for parents and teachers to schedule pampering appointments with me.   I will also offer a drawing for a basket.  I will be donating a percentage of my sales from this craft fare to the school via PTA in support of our teachers and educating our children, the future leaders.

Best contact is 336-681-2692 (mobile)  Landline is 919-563-9101

I have been building my Mary Kay business for over 12 years.  My life has been positively impacted by great teachers over the years, especially my earlier years.  That is why I enjoy reaching out to schools in the community.

I do have a Masters of Business Administration from Wake Forest University.  I value education and want to do what I can to help support our educators.

Marcella Stewart
Independent Senior Sales Director
